Review material usage across jobs and track inventory consumption over time.

Materials Reports

The Materials report shows you how materials are being used across your jobs, helping you manage inventory and control costs.

What the Materials Report Shows

  • Material name — Each material used in the selected period.
  • Quantity used — The total amount consumed across all work orders.
  • Unit cost — The cost per unit of the material.
  • Total cost — The total spend on each material.
  • Work orders — Which jobs the materials were used on.

Generating a Materials Report

  1. Go to Reports > Materials.
  2. Select your date range.
  3. Optionally filter by material type or work order.
  4. Click Generate Report.

Using Materials Reports

  • Inventory management — Track which materials are being used most frequently so you can keep stock levels appropriate.
  • Cost tracking — Monitor material spending over time and identify unexpected increases.
  • Job costing — Understand the material component of each job's total cost.
  • Supplier planning — Use usage data to negotiate better pricing with suppliers or plan bulk purchases.

Exporting

Click Export CSV to download the materials usage data for further analysis or inventory management.
