Calendar View
Plan scheduled work in month, week, or day views and find jobs that still need a date.
Calendar View
The work order calendar gives you a schedule-first view of your jobs. Use it to see upcoming visits, focus on one day, filter the schedule, and find open work orders that have not been scheduled yet.
Open the Calendar
- Open Work Orders from the Jobs section of the sidebar.
- Select Calendar near the top of the page.
Select Table at any time to return to the work order list. Your calendar view, date, and filters are kept in the page address, so you can bookmark or share the same schedule view.
Choose a View
- Month — See the month at a glance. Each day shows up to three scheduled jobs; select + more to see the rest.
- Week — Review seven days side by side. Anytime jobs appear before timed jobs within each day.
- Day — Focus on one date. Select a day number in Month view to open that date directly.
Use the previous and next arrows to move through the schedule, or select Today to return to the current date.
Read the Schedule
Each calendar job shows its scheduled time (or Anytime), client, and a colored status marker. Select a job to open its work order details.
Recurring work appears on each scheduled visit date. Future recurring visits may use a dashed outline while Simple Time previews the upcoming schedule.
Work order and visit statuses
A recurring work order can stay open while individual visits are completed. The calendar marker reflects the status of that visit when available, while the work order page shows the overall job status.
Filter the Calendar
Use the filters above the calendar to narrow the schedule by:
- Status
- Client
- Site
- Worker
Select Clear to remove all active filters. Workers automatically see only work assigned to them, so the worker filter is available only to owners and managers.
Find Unscheduled Work
When open work orders do not have a scheduled date, an Unscheduled panel appears above the calendar.
- Select Unscheduled to expand the panel.
- Select a work order to open it.
- Add or update its schedule and save your changes.
The work order will appear on the calendar after it has a scheduled visit.
Large schedules
If a date range contains too many visits to display at once, Simple Time asks you to narrow the filters or switch to Week view.
