Mobile App Subscriptions

How subscriptions work when purchased through the App Store or Google Play.

Mobile App Subscriptions

You can subscribe to Simple Time directly from the mobile app through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Mobile subscriptions work differently from web subscriptions.

Seat Packs

Mobile subscriptions use fixed seat packs instead of per-user billing. Each seat pack includes a set number of team member slots:

  • Solo — 1 team member
  • Team — 3 team members
  • Crew — 5 team members
  • Business — 15 team members

All seat packs include Professional plan features.

For current seat pack pricing, check the subscription screen in the Simple Time mobile app.

If your team grows beyond your current seat pack, upgrade to a larger pack from your app store settings.

Subscribing from the Mobile App

  1. Open the Simple Time app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your profile or navigate to the subscription screen.
  3. Choose a seat pack that fits your team size.
  4. Confirm the purchase through the App Store using Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.
  5. Your subscription is activated immediately.

  4. Confirm the purchase through Google Play using your stored payment method.
  5. Your subscription is activated immediately.

Managing Your Mobile Subscription

Changes to mobile subscriptions — upgrading, downgrading, or cancelling — must be done through your device's app store settings, not through Simple Time's web interface.

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
  3. Find Simple Time in the list and tap it.
  4. From here you can change your seat pack, cancel, or view your renewal date.

  2. Tap your profile icon, then tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
  3. Find Simple Time in the list and tap it.

Switching from Mobile to Web Billing

If you started with a mobile subscription and want to switch to web billing — for example, to access per-user pricing or annual billing — follow these steps:

  1. Cancel your mobile subscription through the App Store or Google Play (see above).
  2. Wait for the current billing period to end. Your subscription remains active until then.
  3. Once the mobile subscription has fully expired, go to Settings > Subscription on the web.
  4. Choose a plan and complete checkout to start a new web subscription.

Avoid Overlapping Subscriptions

Make sure your mobile subscription has fully expired before subscribing on the web. Simple Time will warn you if a mobile subscription is still active when you try to check out on the web, to prevent being charged by both systems.
