How the Simple Time 14-day free trial works and what happens when it ends.

Free Trial

Every new Simple Time account starts with a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to sign up.

What You Get During the Trial

During your trial you have full access to all Professional plan features, including:

  • Manager role and time entry approvals
  • Material tracking
  • Advanced reports
  • Unlimited photo uploads
  • Up to 50 team members

This lets you explore everything Simple Time has to offer before committing to a plan.

Trial Timeline

Days 1 -- 14: Full Access

Use all Professional features with no restrictions. A banner in the app shows how many trial days you have remaining.

Days 15 -- 17: Grace Period

If you have not subscribed by the end of your trial, there is a short grace period. During this time you can still use the app, but you will see prominent reminders to subscribe.

After Grace Period: Read-Only Mode

If no subscription is activated, your account enters read-only mode:

  • You can still sign in and view all your data — work orders, timesheets, clients, reports, and everything else.
  • You cannot create or edit anything.
  • Your data is not deleted. It remains exactly as you left it.

You can exit read-only mode at any time by subscribing to a plan. All your data will be right where you left it.

Choosing a Plan During Your Trial

You can select your intended plan (Starter or Professional) at any time during the trial from Settings > Subscription. This does not require payment — it lets you preview which features will be available after the trial ends.

See Plans & Pricing to compare what each plan includes.

Subscribing Before the Trial Ends

You can subscribe at any time during your trial:

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription.
  2. Choose your plan and billing cycle.
  3. Complete checkout.

Your subscription begins immediately. You will not be charged separately for the remaining trial days.
